Ready for an adventure rich in photo opportunities? Ready to learn about the natural wonders of Little Seneca Lake? Join Poolesville Seniors at Black Hills Regional Park on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. for a one-hour pontoon boat tour, led by Tina, a Black Hills Regional Park Naturalist. We will explore the small coves around the lake and look for beaver lodges and other signs of the local wildlife and vegetation. Fall colors should be at or approaching peak, so photo opportunities of the beautiful colors surrounding the lake should be abundant.
Participation in this event is limited to 20 participants. This is a RAIN OR SHINE EVENT, barring weather events such as lightning or high winds. The tour will be rescheduled if such events occur. Please dress for the weather.
The cost for this event is $8.00 per person. Refunds for cancellations cannot be made after Friday, October 23rd.
Parking is available in the hilltop lot just above the boat dock, behind the rental boathouse. Please arrive by no later than 12:45 p.m. so we can assemble at the dock near the lake and board the boat, ready to go at 1:00 p.m. This is not the dock at the boat ramp, but is the dock nearest the Discovery center. A restroom is available in the parking lot area.
